Second Sunday of Lent | A message from Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr.

Jesus laments over Jerusalem, saying, "Look, your house is abandoned" (Luke 13:35). Sometimes, our souls feel empty, as if God’s presence is distant. Yet, even in seasons of spiritual dryness, there is an invitation: to clear out what crowds our hearts and make space for Christ. What attachments, distractions, or fears need to be released so we can fully welcome God's presence? This week, we are reminded that even in desolation, God is near—waiting for us to say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."
